Mamag Studios developed the Rap Caviar Pantheon campaign to promote Spotify’s Number 1 hip-hop playlist, Rap Caviar while celebrating Black culture’s contribution to society. This avant-garde campaign memorialized the playlist’s biggest hip-hop artists in the form of 3D printed statues in Greek classical style. The statues were rendered from data points captured from a 200-camera photo booth and then either printed or robotically sculpted in various metallic finishes. Spotify and Mamag debuted the works in New York’s Brooklyn Museum, originally featuring SZA, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, later expanding to include Cardi B, JUICEworld, Jaden Smith and more. Mamag Studios received two 2019 Clio Music Awards for developing one of the best integrated campaigns and experiential events on behalf of a brand. Pantheon takes a step away from the ephemeral nature of today’s consumption habits, serving as a testament to Spotify’s undeniable capacity to influence and curate the experience of an entire generation.
